  5. These are one of my favorites.

  9. Snicker Doodles

  11. 1 C. butter (or margarine or shortening)
  12. 1 1/2 C. sugar
  13. 2 eggs
  14. 2 3/4 C. flour
  15. 2 t. cream of tartar
  16. 1 t. baking soda
  17. 1/2 t. salt
  18. cinnamon sugar
  19.  
  20. Cream first three ingredients. Add flour, cream of tartar, soda, and
  21. salt. Chill. Roll into balls and roll in cinnamon sugar. Place on
  22. cookie sheet and bake at 400F for 8-10 minutes til lightly brown and
  23. soft. Yield: 5 dozen.  (These cookies will set up and be somewhat
  24. crunchy when they cool).
